Sunday, we took a drive to the foothills. The scenery was beautiful and the wildflowers are just starting to bloom. We had some errands to run one of which was getting our supply of olive oil in Copperopolis. Coppperopolis is a lovely California Gold Rush era town where we once happened upon a man selling first press olive oil several years ago. Then, we didn't know of the Italian obsession with the liquid gold. Now, we understand why.
The Calaveras Land and Olive Oil Company offices where olive oil tasting is available. We sampled this year's fresh press. Those are our gallons of 1st press, extra virgin olive oil behind the sample bottles. We don't mess around! Do you prefer buttery, creamy or peppery oil?

Ohhh, it depends...I like them all, but I really like the spicy kind and the buttery kind. Very cool pics!
Me too but I can't buy them all!
